Amanda Taylor

Patent Attorney

Amanda has been in the patent profession since 2014. She is a European patent attorney.

She has been involved in drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a wide range of jurisdictions, including the UK, US, China and Europe. Amanda is experienced in invention disclosure meetings, prior art evaluation and freedom-to-operate searching. She has also assisted in preparing infringement and validity assessments.

Amanda works in several areas of technology, including mechanical devices and systems, sound engineering, electronics and telecommunications, graphics processing, and artificial intelligence. Specific areas of technical content have ranged from integrated Internet-of-Things systems to echo cancellation logic and circuitry. She has also worked on a range of cases relating to medical devices and equipment.

Amanda has a first class Masters degree in Physics (MSci) from University College London and has passed the Queen Mary University certificate in Intellectual Property Law. She holds a CIPA certification in amendment of specifications and patent drafting

In addition to her degree, Amanda also carried out experiments using the ISIS Neutron Source at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory during a summer project in the Condensed Matter and Materials Physics group at University College London. The Experiments were carried out under the supervision of Dr Neal Skipper and the results published in the journal Physical Chemistry chemical Physics.
