Yvette is a law graduate from the University of South Africa as well as a UK Chartered Trade Mark Attorney.

She has experience in all areas of trade mark law, and has worked with companies and individuals ranging from large multinationals to small business start-ups and charities. She assists on a wide range of UK and International trade mark matters. In addition, she has experience handling UK Customs registrations and anti-counterfeiting matters, registering trade marks with Amazon Brand Registry, registering domain names and complaints to the Company Names Tribunal.

Yvette’s work largely focuses on trade mark prosecution, including advising clients from around the world in relation to a wide variety of trade mark matters, from the selection of a new trade mark through to the filing of trade mark applications and the enforcement of trade mark rights against third parties, and trade mark dispute resolution. She also assists her clients in the cost-effective maintenance of existing trade mark portfolios, global settlement negotiations, and preparation of copyright, licence and assignment agreements.

Yvette has worked in the Intellectual Property field for over 30 years, with 25 of those years being in the UK, and has experience both in-house at Glaxo SmithKline and in private practice.

Away from the exciting world of trade marks, Yvette enjoys travelling, reading and gardening.
