Electronics
Electronics developments are often complex and multi-faceted. It is common for a dozen or more inventions to reside in a single circuit. Patent attorneys need a strong understanding of the sector and technical know-how if they are to achieve optimal patent protection in this field.
We bring a mix of technical and legal insight to intellectual property issues in the electronics sector that equips us to offer sound commercial guidance.
Our attorneys have a proven track record of distilling complicated electronic products into individual innovations, identifying those of commercial value and gaining effective patent protection for them. Recent examples have included patent filing and prosecution for video processing ICs, semiconductor laser structures and a range of high-fidelity audio equipment.

Argon
Argon Design provided consultancy and design services in a range of high-tech specialisms, including electronics, FPGA architectures and processor architectures. They also developed their own products in the field of image and video processing.
We were engaged by Argon to build their patent portfolio from scratch. We worked with their engineers to efficiently identify a core list of developments and a filing strategy that would meet Argon’s commercial aims and budgetary constraints. We helped them to keep their portfolio relevant to their business by adapting the initial patent applications to cover new developments and filing new patent applications where needed.
Argon has recently been acquired by a global technology company.
